The soulful vocals of Tamara Wallace aren't compromised in this remix of Oscar G's 'What You Need' as Denney spins the track into a web of dark beats and dopey baselines. Oscar G - 'What You Need' (Denney Extended Mix) The vocals of Olly Alexander (lead singer of Years and Years) already have us hypnotised on single 'King' so this powerful, bouncy and somewhat magical remix of the track is a welcomed one. Rae Morris - Under The Shadows (Waze & Odyssey Remix)īritish duo Waze & Odyssey take on a remix of Rae Morris's single 'Under The Shadows', keeping all the charm of the original but giving it a lift with a serving of summer synths and melodic keys. Serious tune! Amtrac clearly had fire in his belly when he was spinning this monster of a remix! 7. Axwell Λ Ingrosso 'Something New' (Amtrac Remix) Kicking off the mix with fast-paced keys and an accelerated melody, the Danish DJ/producer mixes up the vocals and bassline before leading the track into a grimy drop beat. Emile Sande and cranks it up a gear from the first beat. MORTEN bring us this remix of David Guetta's uplifting house track 'What I Did For Love' feat. David Guetta - 'What I Did For Love' feat. First Hannah Wants & Chris Lorenzo step up to bring us their new dubby track 'Rhymes', which uses vocal samples from Busta Rhymes' 2006 hit 'Touch It', and then Zac Samuel puts his spin on things to create more of a big room sound. This remix had us hooked from the offset. Hannah Wants & Chris Lorenzo - 'Rhymes' (Zac Samuel Remix) Featuring the vocals of gospel singer Shirley Caesar the track has summer anthem written all over it and MK's remix takes things a little deeper than the original with low swung keys and a defiant bass. Aguirre gives us the next best thing.Last summer was all about Bakermat's 'One Day' so it's no great surprise that MK has chosen to remix the Dutch producer's latest release, 'Teach Me'. Unfortunately, neither Larry, zircon, or myself (and probably most others) had REAL white skies or anything approaching a 'Winter Wonderland' for Xmas today, but Mr. Pretty much there's passages that stand out more than others, but the overall presentation is consistently strong and preeminently danceable. I never would have thought that a trance version of the piece could upstage the strings and bagpipe that played that melody in the original, but this does a wonderful job." The lead synth at 5:08 is just to die for. Two-note chords could have worked a little better, but just a little gripe. The strings that come in at 3:58 I feel could have been a little sharper and stronger in terms of the powerful sound the mix had here. Builds into the rest of the mix nicely from 3:14 with some sweet automated filtering. The section at 2:40 is very sweet, with the stuttery high synth. As the beat builds in, the actual sound of the mix builds up to a much nicer level as we get some sweet key changes around the Gagazet theme. It's also quite subdued in the mix, it could have been a bit louder for me. When the melody came in at 1:12 I wasn't too fond of the delayed sound the lead synth had. The lengthy intro didn't really quench my doubts either. I had my doubts before I listened to the piece. TO provides a better play-by-play than I can at this particular point in time: "So a club mix of the Gagazet music. I worked really hard on the mixdown and mastering as well, as this was carefully crafted in my home studio :)"Īt over seven and a half minutes, it's a long'un, but I think he of mixed-case nickage does as he suggests above and varies things up enough over the course. Hopefully this wont be a problem and wont detract from making a post on OC. It's constantly changing and evolving but as analoq/darkesword said, it loses energy in parts mainly because of the arrangement format it's in. I did my absolute best to keep things interesting in the progression of the track. But this is a club mix with the standard dj friendly 32 bar intro/outro. the only real beef they had was the length. Jordan provides us with additional holiday mirth and merriment in the form of some solid electronica stylings: "I've shown darkesword and analoq this mix.
